True. Ordinary MDP members don’t.
But @ibusolih led MDP frontline from 2018–2023 do have much to answer for, at the very least over:
• Botched investigations into the disappearance of Ahmed Rilwan and the murder of Yameen Rasheed
• The whitewashing of the MMPRC embezzlement scandal and protection of perpetrators
• Ventilator corruption +++
• Hiring and firing at will across cumbersome, money-leaking SOEs
• Squandering the opportunity to institute meaningful structural governance reforms
• The release of Ahmed Adeeb
• Refusal to overturn restrictive changes to freedom of assembly
• Passing of Evidence Act amendments enabling courts to order journalists to reveal their sources
And that’s before even getting into what @MickailNaseem attests to in the video.
