As we reach the height of the holiday season and gift-giving, it’s important to remember that not all toys are safe for all children. Labels, age restrictions, and small or sharp objects are all factors to keep in mind when shopping for gifts this season.🪀 🎁 ⚽ 🧩 🧸

Day 11 of 12 Days of Pediatrics 🎄 Hear from Roy Ghanem, a current pediatric resident and member of KAAP. He shares how KAAP has helped him advocate for the children and families that he serves while also connecting him with resources and programs that benefit his patients.

Day 10 of 12 Days of Pediatrics 🎄 Michelle Horst, Kansas Pediatric Foundation Manager, shares the importance that supporting KPF. Donating to KPF allows for additional support, advocacy and resources for Kansas pediatricians and by extent, children across the state of Kansas.

Day 9 of 12 Days of Pediatrics 🎄 Since 2004, TAP-TAM has distributed over $4.5 million worth of books to pediatrician offices to gift during children's well-child visits. Today, there is over 170 pediatric sites statewide, providing 180,000 free books each year.

Day 8 of 12 Days of Pediatrics 🎄 Dr McFarland shares the impact that TAP-TAM has on generations of families within Kansas. TAP-TAM has been around since 2004 and has distributed over 2 million books to young readers through their routine well-child appointments.

Day 7 of 12 Days of Pediatrics 🎄 We are at the halfway point of the 12 Days of Pediatrics. We've heard some touching testimonials from pediatricians and KAAP members that are impacting their local communities with assistance from KAAP.

Day 6 of 12 Days of Pediatrics 🎄 Dr. Melissa Shadon shares the importance of access to period products and how lack of access impedes girls ability to access education. With the help of a Pediatrician in Action grant, she is now able to offer these products through her clinic.

Day 5 of 12 Days of Pediatrics 🎄 Hear from Philippe Saad, pediatric resident and chapter member, as he shares how the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics sponsored his trip to the National AAP conference to expanded his learning experience. 🌟
