A few thoughts thoughts after playing a lot of Batman: Arkham Shadow: 1) @Konami if you're listening give @ryanpayton and @Camouflaj / @MetaQuestVR the opportunity to make a Metal Gear Solid game (maybe remake MGS1) in VR. (True VR Missions) 2) A "console war" around VR is stupid. Batman Arkham Shadow should be playable on Quest 3 through the PlayStation 5 and especially the PS5 Pro. This opens up to Meta exclusives on PlayStation (and Xbox?), Steam and PlayStation VR exclusives on Quest and Steam, etc. Maybe all this stuff should also run off Mac? Open all this powerful hardware up to wirelessly connected VR headsets. 3) Untethered VR is the only way to go. Wired VR (unless it's for racing/flight games) is truly a step backward. Companies could make a Steam Deck like-hand held PC device powerful enough for VR that attaches to a body clip and USB-C connects to very light, state of the art VR glasses but that might be too cumbersome. 4) More licensed games and familiar properties in VR. Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, Han Solo (and Chewbacca), Indiana Jones, Fantastic Four, The Last of Us, Halo, John Wick, Max Payne... 5) Every VR game ever made should play on every VR device made from here on out. Work this out. My review soon.
