@HDeck21 @PhilsTailgate Luck factors don't matter when the award is results-based. If player A has a 2.25 ERA with a 2.75 xERA and player B has the opposite with the same IP, I would want player B going into next season. Player A, though, objectively had the better results and should win the CY easily.

@HDeck21 @PhilsTailgate xERA and xFIP literally are expected stats lol. The whole point of them is to not take into account what the contact actually led to on the field, also known as the result, and instead place value on the type and quality of contact given up.
