I argue that external relations, i.e., between workers and society at large, are equally important for justifying workplace democracy for reasons that are not obviously reducible to republican concerns about non-domination or relational egalitarian ones about non-inferiority.3/4

Most relational arguments, like republican and relational egalitarian ones, focus on relationships within the workplace, i.e., the worker-boss relation. They want to make sure that there's no domination or relational inequality inside the workplace. 2/4

What should I read to get up to speed on the philosophy of free speech? What is some interesting/important new literature?

@alexbryant_ I think it's both, but many ppl who work on EI have an epistemology or phil. of language background, and perhaps just aren't that comfortable or confident about going into the ethics too deeply.

The second is called 'Why Refugees Should Be Enfranchised'. There's actually a bit of scholarly discussion about this, I try to put my own spin on it by using some of my democratic theory to make a solid case for refugee enfranchisement. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

@istvan_szilard nem hiszem h TGM ilyen zárt titkos társaságokra gondolt, ha a gyárak és a szövetkezetek (amiknek a belső tanácskozásai ugyanúgy exklúzívak, én nem mehetek pl belepofázni) elég nyitottak, akkor sztem a TGM-i civiltársadalom is az. Sztem a probléma itt nem az exkluzivitással van.

@KapelnerZsolt Jaa, én ennél sokkal faékegyszerűbbre gondoltam: szerintem a közjót csak napvilágnál, emberek részvételével lehet kikristályosítani, nem elzárt, exklúzív "deliberatív" terekben. Persze ebben én vagyok anakronisztikus

a le- és előíró részeiben is sok fontos és IGAZ, meg amúgy sem vagyok elég okos, hogy érdemi vitába szálljak, de ez a TGM-i morális minoritarianizmus, civiltársadalmizmus és PMC-kiválóságtudat eléggé lehoz az életről merce.hu/2022/12/26/tgm…
