The Kaplan lab uses C. elegans as a model system to understand the molecular basis of rare diseases & functional inference of genetic variants.

@ItalyinIstanbul @TC_MilanoBK @ecnptweets @MehmetOzoktem Today, I found out that my visa was rejected under Article 10, even though my colleagues were able to obtain Schengen visas for the same congress. I respectfully request a reconsideration of my Cultural Visa application. #visarejection #visadeny

Vey excited to unveil our work identifying the TMEM67 extracellular domain cleavage site. This is the first ciliary structural protein cleavage site identified using N-terminomics and validated in humans, mice and C elegans. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Our paper "CilioGenics: an integrated method and database for predicting novel ciliary genes" is out in @NAR_Open ! academic.oup.com/nar/advance-ar… A preprint of this work was posted in April 2023.

We are very excited to share the preprint from our lab: We combined multiple datasets (scRNA-seq, comparative genomics, PPI, transcription factors based regulatory networks) for predicting novel ciliary genes
