Tooth Brushing It's amazing how we can go through life, 50, 60, 70 years go by, and suddenly a life-long question comes to a realization. Is this one of those cases? Is the following valid? I've always had trouble with gum disease, and had resigned myself to the thought that it's just genetics, and I have to just deal with it the best I can, meanwhile being accused by the dentists of not brushing my teeth. It's been somewhat puzzling that I lose more of my bottom teeth than the top. - But wait.. I always brush my upper teeth first. Does that have anything to do with it? Also, I always use a pretty small amount of toothpaste. Using more I took as wasteful. But what if it's not? Perhaps people who use a big gob of toothpaste end up having less cavities (?) So, right or wrong, the way forward for me is to get a sufficient quantity of toothpaste, and brush it across my upper teeth before the saliva has a chance to dilute it. Back and forth slowly, getting that pure paste between my teeth, front and back. Then spit it out, get a fresh blob of toothpaste, and do the same for the lower teeth. After that, brush your teeth normally. What do you think? Do I have a point, or am I just trippin', lol.
