Dear Parents—your child doesn’t need to be the smartest in the class, the best on the field, or the most talented in the room. But they do need to be teachable. We’ve raised a generation that can Google every answer, but too many are forgetting how to listen, respect, and learn. Being teachable isn’t about grades or intelligence—it’s about humility. It’s about realizing you don’t know everything and being willing to grow when someone tries to help you. As parents, we don’t need to raise perfect kids. We need to raise kids who can take feedback without falling apart. Who can apologize. Who can show respect even when they disagree. Who can be corrected without becoming combative. Because teachability will take them further than talent ever will.

@ianschog @KBoBaseballGuru I’ve worked in education longer than you and grew up in a low income area & you are putting words in the conversation that are incorrect. There is an underlying selfish motive here not to help kids but their in-state school. Stop assuming my care for students & their families

A Mizzou grad told me this today & I researched it to make sure it was true: “A new law allows in-state high school students, once they sign their NLI, to begin making money in high-school, but ONLY if they commit to an in-state school.” Smart. ARK needs to adopt asap imo

There have been questions regarding Arkansas high school athletes NIL opportunities. Here’s the law: Not everyone can benefit, only those accepted into an Arkansas college or university. If there are questions within your school, please see your administration.

Quitman HC has been working hard behind the scenes to get student athletes compensation for their NIL. Marrs has always been a trailblazer in Arkansas HS athletics and thinks outside the box. #VTownBoys SR Spotlight is student assistant Austin Koonce. This was his only season as a part of the baseball family & was cut short as he was playing in 5A State basketball tournament as baseball season ended. He was an All State player for both football & basketball programs

I personally can't thank Coach "Bon" enough for his commitment to me & this family. Showing up every morning, every event, & every practice, no matter the temperature. Not only showed up, but as a coach on staff. You will FOREVER be known to my family as "Bonn Bonn". Love u bro.

#VTownBoys SR Spotlight is student coach Nic Bonnema. Nic has committed his spring semester to our baseball family and his most memorable moments are traveling to Louisiana and helping the team and coaching staff with practice and technology. He will pursue a career in welding.

#VTownBoys SR Spotlight is Cade McWilliams. He has been a part of the baseball family for 4 season & his most memorable moments came on bus rides, but recently was the last practice with his teammates before COVID-19 and they played 6 out BP. He will major in civil engineering.
