Word of the day is 'spuddle' (17th century): to work ineffectively and appear busy while achieving absolutely nothing because your mind is elsewhere.

When people tell me they're fascinated and keen to read my book, I'm honestly taken aback. Like, really?! This strange and complex mix of thoughts that doesn't make much sense to me intrigues you?

"You're so cute when you're thinking." "Firstly, I'm plotting your murder. Don't interrupt me."

The acronyms for my potential book titles are LIE and TWOT. Neither inspires any positivity, but one sounds like an insult that would be fun to implement into my daily dialogues.

The problem with watching a show like #Bridgerton, dear reader, is that you subconsciously emulate high society's speech and written word. This author knows too well how transferable voice is. If you'll excuse me, I am expected to promenade.

In my happy place

Here is a person with autism. Here is a writer with big dreams and scarce time to create. Here is a girl suffering from autistic burnout. Here is a witch who loves all things strange and unusual. Here is an introvert who longs for adventure. And here you are, a ray of light.

I received a query critique from a renowned author today and wholeheartedly agree with their comments. But how do I execute these changes without swamping the query or making it worse? I think I'll wait until I've finished drafting the novel before delving back into query edits
