New hate speech laws for South Africa head to Ramaphosa to be signed businesstech.co.za/news/governmen…
English

@BusinessTechSA Once again they are trying to find more ways to get their hands on citizens hard-earned cash under false pretences. 🙄
English

Government pinky-promises to do the NHI right businesstech.co.za/news/governmen…
English

@News24 If you are the CEO of a company and are "shocked" by something as critical to our GDP happening under your leadership, then I deeply question where your priorities lie and what you actually do on a day to day basis.🤔

News24 | In umpteenth promise, 'shocked' Ramaphosa punts turnaround amid Stage 6 load shedding, Transnet crises dlvr.it/SzGtTY
English

@News24 Hey South African middle-class, keep killing yourselves working, trying to stay afloat as cost of living rises, so you can fund our incompetence and luxury lifestyles, while we continue to make the situation worse. Sincerely, RSA Government.🤙

News24 | Transnet to lean on Treasury for R100bn turnaround plan dlvr.it/Sxvmdw
English

@News24 Oh yay more talk from politicians without any meaningful action.👍 I didn't know you could run a country on just words 🤷♀️
English

News24 | Ramaphosa talks tough over Transnet incompetence as ports nightmare rages on dlvr.it/SzF70f
English

@News24 @JasonFelix Why are there always "calls" but no action. Do they realise when they call, they are the ones responsible for executing? Like who are you calling out to? 🤣
English

ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula has called for a sensible reduction in government spending and reallocating resources towards growth-oriented reforms – most notably to Eskom and Transnet. | @JasonFelix

English

@News24 We just seem to be rotating criminals in our SOEs. They just resign before they have to be held accountable and then the next one comes in and continues the cycle of theft and mismanagement. 🙄
English

The CEO of Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) Siza Mzimela has resigned.

English

@News24 How many corruption scandals must there be for them to stop giving Transnet bailouts. Where is the accountability? So we must watch people steal our tax money, waste and then watch them given more. How does this make sense?🤯
English

News24 | Transnet paid R29 per breathalyser straw (instead of 28 cents) in R33m tender scandal dlvr.it/SwsV69
English

@sgozo_godola @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie And you pay taxes hoping for change, and instead our wonderful leaders throw parties and wear designer labels, while children sit on floors in schools because they have no chairs. It's simply not good enough.
English

@Karabotes11 @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie First we need to come down from our castles and listen to each other and until we lift the lowest up this all is meaningless
English

There should be a minimum R100 000 fine for racist attacks and R1 million for physical attacks.
Companies should be fined R10 million for racial discrimination in hiring and promotion.
Make racism expensive and it will go into deep hibernation.
Africa Research Desk@MightiJamie
Has Afriforum condemned this? Where is the stronger together community? It’s at times like this where we show commitment and integrity.
English

@sgozo_godola @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie Trust me, my heart breaks every day. R80 to get transport for a minimum wage job just to live in squalor is simply unacceptable. And we have kids who are being educated to be laborers instead of scientists. It angers me.
English

@sgozo_godola @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie I don't judge on colour, I judge on character, values and work ethic. If people want to keep arguing about race, by all means enjoy going in square circles. I choose to contribute positively to my community and uplift those around me no matter what race.
English

@Karabotes11 @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie There is no magic pill, and there will never be. Until i can feel your pain and until you can feel mine, our anxieties and worries only then. Until we accept there are those doomed to be without and that as our people we need to fight for their position to be with
English

@sgozo_godola @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie So, how are you solving the problem? What was in place before that you would like to revert to? So if we could go back in time and change history what would South Africa look like today? Where would the innovation come from?
English

@Karabotes11 @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie Acknowledging is not enough. It is like seeing a poor man and assuming my noticing his poverty changes his situation. Until we actively engage only then do we see change
English

@sgozo_godola @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie This country has the opportunity to take advantage of shifts in world power and lead the way in innovation. But instead we bicker & fight amongst ourselves. If we focused on boosting trade, education and efficient use of resources, the balance of power would naturally shift. 🤷♀️
English

@Karabotes11 @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie You cannot fix the future without honestly addressing what has come before. Anything else is a lie and will always result in disaster. Like you said we probably have the same wants. Safe homes. Safe communities. Happy homes and happy families.
English

@sgozo_godola @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie Personally I am confused, because I have been told by the media that I have all these privileges but the people I see with wealth and privilege do not look like me. So, at what point do we acknowledge that it is no longer a race issue but a class and power issue...
English

@sgozo_godola @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie So why such a negative perspective then? What has that transfer of knowledge enabled you to do? Then this tells me you don't know how to measure value...
English

@Karabotes11 @mokone_eddie @MightiJamie 😂😂😂 only to find out 60% of my working life i was the only person of colour in professional teams, my mentor is a white man, honed my skill in CPT, designed 60-80% of the private hospitals in southern Africa. Assumptions are dangerous
