it's funny to me that a lot of newgen fans complain that they missed out on the joy and whimsy of the fandom's golden age, which is valid, however, consider the following: everything would feel far more joyous if you stopped pretending liking hetalia is cool and just had fun

@ukusnationceo you get it! and because of this, they see right through each other, hence their constant tense stalemates/awkward and stilted "camaraderie". ame is SUCH a multifaceted character and i feel some fandom portrayals really do him a disservice sometimes...

@Karinansol brother...take my hand. No he's so unknowable it is what I like about his and Russia's dynamic because they're both *insane* but Russia is a little more blatant about it, or his natural kind of childlike demeanor is more pronounced, they're the same in slightly different ways

@Karinansol omg aint it just, I think the way he doesn't allow anyone, especially himself to know what's going on with him is SO hot and interesting, its why the always pushing forward once he's made a decision is so fascinating, he refuses to allow himself to second guess *anything*

@ukusnationceo yes, definitely! and the childishness can be a way for him to "sugarcoat it". while i believe there's an element of sincerity to his immaturity, not knowing exactly where the mask ends and where the more genuine parts of him start is what makes him so interesting to me
