The inspection can actually be deferred for 1 or 2 flights, but the engineering team in Dublin want to ensure maximum safety at all times

Curious case in the desert… Delta Air Lines has two brand-new Airbus A321neo (N551DT and N552DT) delivered in 2024 that haven’t flown since. The aircraft were ferried to Southern California Logistics Airport (VCV) after delivery and have remained parked there ever since.

🚨 Mayday Emergency - 16:10 🚨 Earlier today, Aer Lingus flight EI605 from Amsterdam to Dublin declared MAYDAY on approach to Dublin following engine issues and a subsequent engine shutdown. The aircraft operated on a singular engine for approach and landing and was met by the airport fire service on touchdown.
