🚨 298 Animals Sterilized in Just 6 Days! 🚨 💜 Thanks to an incredible donation by the Karma.Fun fam, plus our partners Affordable Sterilization, we held a spay-a-thon in Odesa region earlier this month. In just 6 days a massive 298 animals were sterilized – a huge step in breaking the cycle of suffering before it begins! 🐾 205 female dogs, both stray & pet, were spayed through K9 Rescue International - also vaccinated & tagged. 🐾 93 more dogs & cats were sterilized via Affordable Sterilization’s low-cost program, helping owners afford surgery 5x cheaper than usual. 💡 The real issue? Pet dogs & cats giving birth, with no shelter system to catch the fallout. Yet, local governments (if they fund sterilization at all) only focus on strays. We tackle both. 🚨 Demand is huge – for our budget of 205 free spots, 500+ applied - a clear sign that communities want to help yet need access to affordable sterilization. Without it, unwanted litters will keep being born into misery undoing our impact. 🌟 Massive thanks to the volunteers who caught and transported dogs, and the incredible Kyiv veterinary team- who travel to frontline towns, working in unimaginable conditions - even under shelling - to help strays. 💰 The cost of this project? @KarmaDotFun amazing donation generously covered $5,025 USD, funding 205 spays. Thanks to Affordable Sterilization, who only charged us for the cost of consumables. 🐶 The impact? At least 3,500 puppies saved from being born into a life of suffering in the first year alone, based on an average of six puppies per litter and two litters per year. 💜 That means just $1.44 saves a life from being born into a life of misery.
