I’ve now outlined and begun writing my debut Indigenous horror novel. It’s a blend of growing up in the punk scene, watching X-Files with my dad, and my love for PKD’s mind-benders. Following a disastrous set at a bar, Mena’s hardcore band grapples with their guitarist’s abrupt departure. Anxious to finish their tour and return home, they recruit a young man who fits the bill. But when their conspiratorial tour photographer has a chilling one-on-one with the new guitarist, the group’s trust fractures. As bodies pile up and covert government ops come to light, the band is left questioning: Who can they trust when reality itself is unraveling before their eyes?
