Starting my visit to Brunei meeting His Majesty the Sultan and Prime Minister Hassanal Bolkiah.
Brunei’s Vision 2035 and its ambition to build a digital "Smart Nation" aligns strongly with the EU’s own priorities.
As we come together for the EU-ASEAN ministerial meeting, the EU stands as a reliable and predictable partner, ready to tackle shared challenges together.

Four decades after the disaster, Chornobyl remains at risk.
Russian strikes against the site’s confinement shelter are an extraordinary act of recklessness, which puts in jeopardy decades of international effort to contain the damage.
At the same time, Russia’s illegal seizure of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia power plant significantly heightens the danger to human life and the environment.
In 1986, Moscow downplayed the severity of the catastrophe. Today, it restricts access to information to hide battlefield losses. Different era, same playbook.

I welcome the strong signal by my colleague @kajakallas on the EU’s willingness to impose an entry ban for Russian combatants.
This is a timely and welcome step that will show every Russian that by signing a contract to fight a criminal war of agression against Ukraine they also sign an entry ban to Europe.
This is fair. You fight a war to harm Europe and European states — you don’t get to travel there. I urge all EU member states to back this critical measure.

( Donald J. Trump - Mar 24 2026, 6:19 PM ET )
Highly Respected Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, is a truly strong and powerful Leader, with a proven track record of delivering phenomenal results. He fights tirelessly for, and loves, his Great Country and People, just like I do for the United States of America. Viktor works hard to Protect Hungary, Grow the Economy, Create Jobs, Promote Trade, Stop Illegal Immigration, and Ensure LAW AND ORDER! Relations between Hungary and the United States have reached new heights of cooperation and spectacular achievement under my Administration, thanks largely to Prime Minister Orbán. I look forward to continuing working closely with him so that both of our Countries can further advance this tremendous path to SUCCESS and cooperation. I was proud to ENDORSE Viktor for Re-Election in 2022, and am honored to do so again. Election Day is April 12, 2026. Hungary: GET OUT AND VOTE FOR VIKTOR ORBÁN. He is a true friend, fighter, and WINNER, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election as Prime Minister of Hungary — VIKTOR ORBÁN WILL NEVER LET THE GREAT PEOPLE OF HUNGARY DOWN. I AM WITH HIM ALL THE WAY! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

U.S. intelligence: Putin is confident of victory in Ukraine. Next goal — NATO
The Russian dictator continues to believe that his army is making progress in Ukraine, and therefore he does not plan to stop the war.
However, its continuation could lead to a conflict with NATO, including a threat to the U.S., according to a U.S. intelligence report.
Despite the slowed pace of the Russian army’s advancement, the Kremlin sees no reason to halt the fighting.
Intelligence officials believe this could escalate into a larger conflict, potentially involving direct confrontations with the U.S. and the use of nuclear weapons.
At the beginning of the year, Russia’s army lost more territory than it captured, marking the first time this has happened since November 2023.
China’s economic support helps Russia continue weapons production but also makes Russia more dependent on China.
