@DrBreaky @ettah Agree with everything but one thing: “Breakspear method”- sounds a bit like appropriation of what many sane researchers normally do..

How to revise: As an editor and author I have seen many revised papers return to journals. Given effort, most go well (ie step toward acceptance). Some go pear-shaped. I’ve slowly improved and have an approach known by my group as the ‘Breakspear method”. Here is its essence

Excited to be at @FIT_NGIn and presenting my poster today. If you want to chat about ultra high field fMRI in neonates and what it can tell us about cortical development come to poster 2-E-51!

We are now open for consideration of new papers at Imaging Neuroscience: janeway.imaging-neuroscience.org This allows for the review process to proceed without delay. The production & publication process for accepted papers will then wait until full journal opening (aiming for mid-July).
Imaging Neuroscience@ImagingNeurosci

All NeuroImage and NeuroImage:Reports editors have resigned over the high publication fee, and are starting a new non-profit journal imaging-neuroscience.org This comes with great regret, and a huge amount of thought and discussion- please read announcement to get more details.

Very proud that we have established the UK's first neonatal ultra-high field imaging programme - which has enabled us to get beautifully detailed images of the developing brain. We'll have several abstracts at #ISMRM, look forward to seeing you there! kcl.ac.uk/news/uk-first-…

Neonatal protocols are now a part of XTRACT! Download FSL v6.0.6.3+ and get XTRACTing 👶 tracts. Lots of effort by @e_thompson93 to make and validate these protocols (see manuscript in thread). @SNSotiropoulos @ERC_Research

Hypothetically speaking, if the whole editorial board of NeuroImage quit working for Elsevier and started a new open access journal (so without Impact Factor for at least 3 years) published/managed by OHBM, would you submit your papers to:

After years of the number one question being asked at any of my talks being "hoW dO yoU dO tHOsE anIMAtiOns?!??", here is a MATLAB toolbox showing how I do (some of) them! github.com/StuartJO/Brain… It can do many things, like show a parcellation on a developing brain (1/7)

A very quick and rough animation I made combining the @DevelopingHCP's fetal and neonatal surface atlases to show the progression of cortical folding in the brain during the second half of gestation, with an appropriate soundtrack for good measure
