Ell-Saline wins their 8M DI Regional Title and punches their ticket to the quarterfinals after a revenge win against Madison 58-6, who upset them last year in this matchup. The Cardinals and HC Joe Roche will face Lincoln next week in their quarterfinals matchup at home. #sportsinkansas

The @EllSalineCards pulled off a MASSIVE fourth quarter comeback to hand 2nd-ranked Little River their first loss of the season on Friday @Kas_Kramer looked unstoppable, rushing for two touchdowns, throwing for another on a trick play, and hauling in a huge pick

Ell-Saline’s (8M-I, 4-1) senior defensive duo, cornerback Collin Dent (right) and safety Kas Kramer (left), has been dominant over the past four games, combining for seven interceptions, including two pick-sixes. Dent and Kramer are averaging 3.7 and 6.3 tackles per game, respectively. During that stretch, the Cardinals have outscored their opponents 202-6. Since a tough Week 1 loss to Hanover, Ell-Saline has been rolling and now faces a huge matchup against undefeated Little River this week. #sportsinkansas Photo: Diane Dowell Photography

Ell-Saline (8M-I, 2-1) senior Kas Kramer has continued to prove why he’s one of the most dynamic players in 8M-I, following up a breakout junior season in which he earned SIK All-State ATH honors. Kramer was electric again Friday night, scoring 3 touchdowns on just 7 carries in the Cardinals’ dominant 54-0 win over Norwich. He wasn’t just making noise on offense, Kramer also snagged one of the team’s three interceptions in the win, with the other two going to senior Collin Dent. Through three weeks, Kramer has been the centerpiece of Ell-Saline’s success, totaling 248 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns, plus 2 receiving TDs on just 4 catches. On the other side of the ball, he leads the team defensively, averaging 6.7 tackles per game with 2 interceptions on the year. Ell-Saline’s only loss came in Week 1 to Hanover, but the Cardinals have bounced back strong. They’ll host Canton-Galva this week in a big-time 8M-I showdown as they look to keep their momentum rolling.#sportsinkansas Photo: Jenna Hull
