A whole year has passed since Magyar announced the Birds’ move from a regiment to a brigade. Here’s what the numbers say: – November 2024: the Birds-regiment pecked 762 worms (381 gone for good) – November 2025: the Birds-brigade pecked 3011 worms (1860 permanently offline) For the past half-year, the brigade has been led by Andrii “Klima” Klymenko. We keep going. Eyes and Sting – the worms’ recurring nightmare.

Always happy to see @AprilHuggett ! This photo was taken in the end of July, and I got to see her again this week! She gave me some supplies and even stayed and helped me sort them. ❤️

Very proud to have known @bekamaciorowski since the early days of 2023. We first met in Pokrovsk, I gave her tourniquets, but over time she became a sort of mentor and most importantly, my friend. The hard work she does for her soldiers taught me that we should go above and beyond our duties. That by doing all the little things we bring up morale and keep our men alive. Just like me, Becca doesn’t post all her work in the background, but you can be sure she never rests. If you don’t follow her, you definitely should and support her when you can 🙏 Thanks for all you do Becca, much love. #SupportUkraine

This Swedish judge just did immense and lasting harm to the credibility of the Swedish judicial system with Swedish citizens. Revolutions have started for less.
Visegrád 24@visegrad24

BREAKING: The Swedish judge who ruled that the Eritrean migrant who raped 16-y-old Meya Åberg won’t be deported after serving a 3-year sentence because ”the rape didn’t last long enough” has spoken out about the criticism & say judges can’t take into consideration people’s anger. The decision not to deport Yazied Mohamed has sparked global outrage. The Court of Appeal Judge Lars Viktorsson now tells @samhallsnytt about why the 19-year-old Eritrean shouldn’t be deported. “It was a short-lived incident,” he tells Samnytt. He remains unfazed by the storm of criticism: “I don’t think about it at all. We judge. We have our tasks. We judge, and we cannot take into account what different people think or whether they get upset. We can’t follow the winds (trends) blowing in society, whether we hear one thing or another. We go in and evaluate based on the legislation and the precedent that exists and judge accordingly.” One particular phrasing in the verdict has garnered so much attention that it has been translated into other languages and spread internationally: “Given the nature and duration of the act in question, the Court of Appeal finds that the crime is indeed serious but not of such an especially grave nature as to warrant a decision to deport Yazied Mohamed.” The judge explains: “It’s about him holding her, groping her buttocks and breasts, kissing her against her will, and persistently touching and penetrating her genitals with his fingers,” Furthermore, Judge Lars Viktorsson argues that the rape did not last particularly long. “Normally, a rape is considered an especially serious crime that can lead to deportation. But an overall assessment must still be made, and in this case, we came to the conclusion that it didn’t quite reach that level,” he says. “It was a short-lived incident. It was a rape, but he inserted his fingers into her and not his penis. He didn’t carry out vaginal intercourse with his penis. I think the verdict makes it clear that we weigh the arguments for and against and ultimately decide whether it should lead to deportation or not.” The newspaper asked the judge how long does a rape need to last to be considered sufficiently “persistent”? Should it be 15 minutes, half an hour, an hour, several hours? The judge responds to the question that there’s no particular time limit: “It’s impossible to say anything about that. It’s not just about duration. It’s also about the method. We described another rape case under knife threat but that wasn’t the case here. So you can’t say 12 minutes: deportation; 8 minutes: no deportation. Or 3 minutes: deportation; 15 seconds: no deportation. It doesn’t work like that; you have to make an overall assessment.” In addition to Lars Viktorsson, Court of Appeal Judge Elida Sundkvist, Acting Court of Appeal Assessor and Rapporteur Hanna Hamrén, and lay judges Lena Berggren (Left Party) and Sammy Lie (Sweden Democrats) ruled in the case. Sammy Lie from the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats party was the only one who dissented and wanted Yazied Mohamed to be deported for life after serving his prison sentence.

April Huggett
April Huggett@AprilHuggett·
In light of recent events I feel like some people and parents need this post. My name is April, Callsign Бабця (Granny). I am a 37 year old Canadian 🇨🇦 medic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and I am Autistic. Being a woman my diagnoses took much longer and it wasn’t until I was 32 that I had some answers as to why I am the way I am. As a child I was always the weird one. I couldn’t make eye contact, sitting and listening was hard, socializing was hard and I was over stimulated easily. Growing up in a low income and abusive household didn’t give much opportunity for understanding of these behaviours either. My diagnoses came after one too many emotional outbursts that I felt was effecting my life and I sought professional guidance. That diagnoses saved me. Before I didn’t have answers and now I could start to recognize my triggers and the things that were holding me back. Like the mathematical equations I love so much I could start to subtract the things from my life that would trigger my meltdowns. I still have weird stims like the need to clap during exciting parts of the movie or leaving the room and walking around when it gets too stressful but the longer I live with my diagnoses the less the environment around me has an influence on my outward behaviour. I’m still weirdo with food but now I don’t really care that people see me eat the same noodles or drink the same drink for 6 months straight. 😅 My hyper focus is my job which saves lives and Autism has given me the ability to keep going at full speed for 3 years straight. I don’t form connections the same way and I know for those without Autism it’s not easy to understand but being Autistic, peoples opinions never really meant much to me anyways….unless it effects the things I’m trying to do, like help my men. This allows me to spend an incredible amount of time alone when I’m working and never really needing oversight to make sure I’m doing my job. I think it has also allowed me to do a lot of what I do because I have a different connection with death. And mostly that fear doesn’t cross my mind. I am passionate about what I do and where I am. Being Autistic only held me back in life when I didn’t understand who I was or have a supportive environment around me…which quite honestly I made for myself. And in Ukraine, damn I have met a lot of us. 😅 People just like me, on different parts of the spectrum, all understanding that we are needed here and now in #Ukraine. For me, Autism feels like my super power. Allowing me to navigate war, hyper focus on my work and studies and compartmentalize emotions that others might not be able to navigate in a healthy way. So if you see me out here being a little weird, I might just be but I am very proud of who I am and how far I have come. #autismawareness #SupportUkraine #Canada

Robert Brovdi, the Commander of the @usf_army, has announced a recruiting campaign: We are 2% of the Defence Forces. Our goal is to reach 5% of the total strength of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The updated recruitment campaign launches on October 17–18. Enrollment is strictly voluntary, including transfers via Army+ and for those who previously left their units (AWOL cases). Transfers between units only upon mutual agreement. To be continued. Worms, get ready.

I just been informed that Mahyem is KIA. As far as I know he died trying to save two of his buddies . Johnny and I only knew each other briefly but we stayed in touch after I got back home and developed a friendship…or at least a mutual respect between us that …I don’t know this has hit me hard. From talking to him he was a stand up guy dedicated to the defense of Ukraine. He was very interested in the political side of the fight when I spoke to him. Meaning he was steadfastly against Putin and his aggressive war. I’m posting this because I have a small platform to amplify him from. And also because this is devastating. I don’t know.
