We've also been tracking this by locality. Not many require ranges to be posted in job ads so far! Colorado does, as will Cali. Others typically require it "upon request" by applicants. hrdive.com/news/pay-trans…

@ShalinJyotishi Not sure it's limited by that so much as employers realizing any "dummy" ranges they put in their HRMS are now potentially highly visible and thus adjusting accordingly! Haha. Noticing this with finance tho today.

With NYC's salary law now in place, I've been looking at some companies' salary ranges, & I can already see that the "good faith" part of the law is going to be tested. A salary range of $50,000 to $145,000 is deeply unserious. (This is the New York Post Tech Reporter role, btw)

Massive win for transgender people in the US 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. The US Court of Appeals rules that the Americans with Disabilities Act protects transgender people. Trans people MUST be afforded all accommodations, medical interventions, cannot be unduly targeted.

I’ve been saying this for years. I graduated from @UofMaryland J-school in 2015 and literally Googled “B2B journalism” while accepting my first job at @industrydive. I had no idea how lucky I was to stumble across such a role, while peers struggled to make $ or “make it big”

Just interviewed a candidate and she said, "honestly, I never heard of b2b and business journalism when I was in j-school across all my various classes." This is really too bad. J-schools should do a better job letting reporters know about b2b. It pays better and is more stable.
