And here he is, inspiring us all as we made a research trip with the lovely students from Cumbria Uni. This was a wonderful day, full of joy and amazement. Thank you, Ian. We shan’t forget you and your brilliant soul and work. To quote you quoting Kurt - “who’d have thought it.”

We will treasure our time with Ian, as we developed our first musical Here. He told such wonderful stories of Kurt & those he lived with on the farm. His eyes would light up, as if we were meeting Kurt himself. We all recreated a picture - Ian, with partner Celia, on the right.

Deeply saddened to hear we have lost Ian Hunter. With Littoral Arts, he fiercely & generously protected Dadaist artist Kurt Schwitters’ legacy & Merz Barn at Cylinders Farm, Cumbria. Ian was a fountain of knowledge. His enthusiasm & love for art & human creativity was electric.

Then, as now, a special place. #ForeverKings🦁

We are thrilled to have just won ‘Best New Musical’ at the 2023 @olivierawards. Congratulations to the hundreds of people who helped bring this show to the stage, and to all of tonight’s other nominees. ✨

p.s. Re. the joke I was TRYING to tell @alexdeboo in the rain at the night bus stop in my hood. She quite frankly didn’t deserve the time and effort i put in. Well. Here it is in print to haunt her forever. Everyone please tell her this joke whenever you see her.
