Fabulous @ClimateFarmDemo event discussing the solutions anaerobic digestion (AD) could offer for the issues faced by the SW Dairy Development Centre. The @UKAgriTech team shared why an AD plant may assist with waste management and energy production while reducing the farms carbon footprint. Thank you to @quberenewables, @EnergyDairy & @BioFactory_ for sharing their AD solutions for a 200 cow dairy herd and to farmer @KateHoare6 who shared the benefits she had experienced on farm after installing a Bennamman AD system. When responding to the challenge of rising energy, fertiliser & fuel costs while reducing emissions and becoming more nutrient efficient there is clearly so much potential for AD to benefit farm businesses. Clear!!! Fretful few days waiting to read our Tb test but thankful it was the right result! No changes to how we manage grazing or feeding of the cows only change is culling the Johnes cows 🐄 🤔 I feel awful saying we’re clear as I no many haven’t had the same result x

Thanks for all the supportive messages for our tb test this week. We read the results yesterday. Whilst it could have been a lot worse it wasn’t our day yesterday. We have 6 inconclusives meaning they must be retested in 2 months.
