Every child deserves a classroom that is safe, calm and dignified, where they can learn. The point of removing a student who is abusive or disrupting a lesson is two-fold: 1. That student is demonstrating that they’re unwilling or unable to help create that environment, so they need to temporarily be somewhere they can get some adult attention to find out why. 2. More importantly, it allows the 29 other kids to get what they need. As an aside, many of these children may have SEND too. Don’t they deserve calm classes? Maybe even need them more?
