Tomorrow, operators need to order stock and create staff rotas for Xmas. Many are sat in limbo, not knowing what to do. They are fearful for their future, staff don't know if they will still have jobs. This is no way to run a country.

Over £100k was spent by @letstalkcentral on the #leightonbuzzard High Street pedestrianisation scheme. Council now blaming "confidentiality" for being unable to provide a breakdown of costs. I wonder if this is because it burnt over £50k on "gate man"?

@JBaker_Ind Exactly!! Arlesey is renowned for its heavy traffic on the high st, we end up with cars bunching up behind us with the occasional idiot dangerously overtaking us all! We can only relax when we get passed the traffic lights.

@KateSte34758596 Agree - good quality cycle paths are required and the Council sadly spends very little money investing in them. And when it does, it doesn't connect them to anything, for example the A421 "cycle path to nowhere" west of M1 J13. Beautiful path, no destination.

Completely agree. It should not be so expensive to implement road safety measures that residents want to see.
