ONE TREE CAN MAKE ENOUGH OXYGEN FOR 4 PEOPLE — EVERY SINGLE DAY! A mature tree produces ~118 kg (260 lbs) of oxygen per year... while absorbing 22 kg of CO₂. That's why ancient forests are literal life-support systems for the planet. We're breathing because trees have been quietly running Earth's air factory for millions of years Nature's MVPs deserve more credit. Mind = blown? Like + RT if you're team trees! #Trees #NatureFacts #Climate

Over the moon to find this STUNNING red tailed bumblebee queen yesterday, basking in the sunshine on our Crocus Especially happy because this particular species hasn’t been doing well over the last few years. Fingers crossed for a period of good weather for her now…

Catching up with some posts - a beautiful thrush I had the pleasure of watching for about 5 minutes, a couple of weeks ago.

Growing your own herbs is a great way to help nature - many herbs produce nectar-rich blooms that attract butterflies, bees, hoverflies and other pollinators. Herbs grown at home avoid pesticide use - and they taste wonderful! Ideas: littlegreenspace.org.uk/features/herbs…

After the worst ever winter for Owls, it was brilliant to ring this beautiful female Long-eared Owl at the weekend. She is the first LEO to be ringed on this particular farm. They are a rare bird in Wiltshire and most records are from bird ringing.

The wonderful calls of Whooper Swans on the West Scrape at Minsmere, Suffolk, this morning, displaying together as they join with a third Whooper Swan. There's a clear sense of excitement and strong bonds between the pair as they greet each other on arrival! 10th March 2026

Dandelions are starting to appear! They’re a vital source of early nectar for bumblebees, butterflies and other insects - and birds feed on the seeds. So please let them grow! More tips to help nature: littlegreenspace.org.uk/features/5-tip…

Take care driving along country lanes at dusk – there may be frogs or toads crossing the road. Some amphibians travel up to a mile, on a mission to return to their ancestral ponds to breed. Joining a toad patrol can also help them cross safely! More: littlegreenspace.org.uk/features/Sprin…
