A3. As whole I grew up in a supportive environment. I didn’t know many people growing up that were adopted and Korean, but I was lucky to be surronded by people who helped me embrace any path I wanted. #ebedchat

A2. School should 100% be a safe place for all students. It’s important to model and show acceptance and compassion for all students. #ebedchat

A2. I think EB does a great job involving different opportunities. One of my favorites is the food drive. I think the students can relate to it and are willing to participate. #ebedchat

A1. I am always inspired by therapy dogs who visit hospitals and nursing homes. I dream someday to have a dog certified to do that. I think it appeals to me because they put smile on others faces in some of the hardest times. #ebedchat

A7. Math is lucky to have common planning. We are constantly bouncing ideas off of each other and sharing activities. #ebedchat

Sometimes I do find students have trouble transferring their math knowledge from the technology to paper.

A6. Tech. Is great for PD and collaboration like this! I find Padlet is awesome for whole class sharing where everyone can get involved. #ebedchat

A5. I like Ms. Shanks idea to set timers as benchmarks for the students. I feel with check-ins and accountability students gain an idea when side chat is appropriate and not. #ebedchat

A4. If I have a coteacher in the room, we will model what collaboration looks like in our daily teaching so students have an example. I also think giving more conceptual rather than procedural questions helps naturally build in collaboration.#ebedchat

A3. Being proactive and talking to the team. I also like when teachers send out an invite for new activities. I went to the 8th grade side to see Lex do an amazing escape room last year! #ebedchat

A2. I feel like most of my department has open arms and would let me see them teach anytime. Last year I sat in on a couple resource math lessons between my lunch and lunch duty, and I felt I gained strategies to scaffold more in my IC sections. #ebedchat

A4. Collaboration - I find collaboration holds me more accountable and other people usually have ideas to help me achieve my goals. #ebedchat

A3. I often write myself a note to remember what I like and don’t like about a lesson as the first slide at the end of the day, so the coming day and the next year I can recall and revise. #ebedchat

A2. PDs that are about student engagement and technology always catch my eye when it comes to reflecting. I’m always trying to think about fresh ways to engage students with a purpose, not just do it to do it. #ebedchat
