Spent the morning at PNC Park talking all things @Pirates because it’s the #HomeOpener today! New food this year looks amazing! Also, fun promotional items for fans - t-shirts, hats & bobbleheads. Love that baseball is back! #LetsGoBucs

I’m retiring. My last day will be December 31st. I’m grateful for my years at WTAE, a station I’ve watched since I was a kid growing up in Carrick. I remember staying up to watch what was then called “4 Star News.”

Gus started working at the cart with his family when he was 8 years old & took over when his father passed in the 1950s. This was the 90th year in operation! The crew tells me they’ll keep selling ice balls thru the summer and reevaluate what to do next in the winter.

“There are no words…” The response at Gus & YiaYia’s after community members offer condolences/support following Gus Kalaris’ death. People have been stopping by the North Side staple nonstop. I’ve seen a lot of tears/hugs but have heard some incredible stories about Gus.

Pittsburgh has lost a local legend. For decades Gus Kalaris served up ice balls, popcorn, and smiles at the world renowned Gus & YiaYia’s Cart on the city’s North Side. Join us in sending support and condolences to his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss.

The new building will house a sanctuary for the Tree of Life congregations, an education center dedicated to combating bigotry, and a museum dedicated exclusively to chronicling the long history of antisemitism in America, which will be the 1st of it's kind in the country. #wpxi

@KatelynWPXI Katelyn!! You work for WPXI now, not WTAE. Why were you promoting them instead of WPXI?
