It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of RPD Ellis, who served with West Midlands Police. We are honoured to share this tribute on behalf of PC Cotter, RPD Ellis's handler, who misses him dearly. Our thoughts are with PC Cotter and his family during this difficult time, and we are proud to have supported RPD Ellis on several occasions throughout his retirement. "This morning, I woke up to what every Dog Handler dreads. RPD 4701 Ellis had crossed the rainbow bridge overnight. To say I’m heartbroken is an understatement. He was my partner and my ever-present, loyal friend. We fought many battles both inside and outside of the job, but we always came out on top. Ellis was a real character, with a kind heart and a cheeky nature. A protector, a guardian, and an ever-present presence. He kept me safe and brought me home at the end of every shift. When he retired, he became not only mine, but also Linze Garner’s housemate. He decided he didn’t want to live outside anymore and managed to worm his way into the lounge, where he stayed until the end of his watch. Rest easy, my beautiful lad, until we meet again. 💔🌈💔🌈 Peppy- we are very sorry to have to tell you that Peppy died today in mum‘s arms he was a very poorly boy. Whilst he was only with us a very short time we loved him. At least he knew love warmth and care in the last couple of weeks of his life.💔💔😭😭😭🌈🌈🌈

Cannot believe we are having to write this again and so soon but, our beautiful Dixie left us to go be with Kylie this morning. She fought hard but the struggle without her sister and protector was too great. The only peace we have is knowing they are together again. 💔

We are very sorry to say that our beautiful Kylie suddenly passed away this evening. We had no idea it was to be her last walk, but her last walk was perfect and she enjoyed it so much. Love you pup xxxxx

LM24 wasn’t kind to us this year. We had a quick car in the race & good strategy calls but a door issue & broken drive shaft forced us to focus on just finishing on privateer podium. Thanks to Proton for the hard work and to the fans, who once more made Le Mans special🙏🙌.
