Congratulations to Dr. Beata Kosmider, who was recently awarded a $2.5 million Department of Defense grant to determine the molecular mechanism of alveolar epithelial cell injury in emphysema. Drs. Gerard Criner and Karim Bahmed, serve as co-investigators on this project.
