@JenReadsRomance I think it was the first significant man with abs cover for contemporary after abs had done so well in PNR. But I remember the way it hit romancelandia at the time. Just bam.

For the love of all that is good… affordable stock images of beautiful brown people who don’t look goofy that aren’t AI. As an aside, I would like to be able to purchase said photographs and not go into debt.

I used to license frequently just off the image in the search results — I can't do that now. I have to click through and read the credits/details first.

And if you use stock imagery (I use a ton for both ads and covers) definitely don't assume they are artist-created images. AI is flooding the stock market, and a general image search now is very likely to bring up a ton of AI images.

This is an issue I've run into frequently with Photoshop, especially. If I search for an Adobe stock photo within the Photoshop app (instead of the website), I can't filter out AI and sometimes don't realize the origin until I go back and look more closely. It's very frustrating.
