When I quit teaching in 2017, people asked me what I wanted to do. My response was always arts and events but ‘the dream’ is to work for @FreedomFestHull . Well, that day has finally arrived! Thrilled to share I start as their new engagement producer today #lovehull #hull

Hi Friends. I'm not doing the best at the moment. Would anyone be interested in doing a sort of national poetry month writing thing, writing a poem a day? People don't have to share what they've written maybe just a prompt or something you found interesting? Via email chain? I am just having a very rough time of it and need something to get me through the day (I can't afford a writing week/ workshops right now as I have been the most seriously ill I think I've ever been I've got vey low oxygen percentages and its not been good).

I came across it on the Poetry Unbound podcast by @duanalla & I loved it so much that I decided 'hm, what would I write?!' and it went from there. So you unknowingly handing on the baton. Looking through notes from this time last year. Was stuck & full of rage about waste & institutional dysfunction.Defo 2 themes 👉“Integrity black hole” massive void between words/action 👉”Save the Tanker” mindset which valued vehicle more than getting precious cargo to safety…
