Today a guy had a tonic-clonic #seizure on my bus. Honestly it was pretty scary. This is the first time I've witnessed a medical thing outside of work and thankfully I knew that you don't have to do much. Make sure they're not going to injure themselves and stay with them.

@jasaunders90 @whizzer616 @jeannie_watkins We review patients and assist in diagnosis and management plans (like Drs and ANPs, sure) but our training and shift patterns tend to be very different. Sometimes I find it's easiest to explain the difference in logistics!

@jasaunders90 @whizzer616 @jeannie_watkins It can be difficult to give a quick description so it's easiest describing what you do. Others may want to compare us to other roles but I try and avoid that.

Agree with @jeannie_watkins. Hierarchy is familiar in the NHS but as #PhysicianAssociates we're in a unique position to be flexible and explore different forms of career progression. Bring senior/lead/specialist/consultant is not the only proof of progress. #FPAConf19
