@KaurageousKay Thanks for waiting, Thanks for your question. If the figures are high or out of proportion to the income, you will get a red warning message for you to check the figures but you can just proceed with your return. Nancy

@HMRCcustomers hi, my tennant had damaged significant amount of items at property and stole a number of items. Do i deduct these as a loss. My property repairs is considerably high dur to this. But i get a red box error saying it is high. Why is that?

@KaurageousKay You can also claim for council tax and utilities. If the repairs are of a revenue nature, rather than capital, they would be claimed as allowable expenses against the rental income, not as CGT. (2/2) Nancy

@HMRCcustomers if i had to pay the mortgage for all the months my tenant did not pay and for the months it was empty due to damage, is that tax deductable. Also re council tax, utilities etc Re repairs, painting between tenants is the self assessment or cgt? Thanks you
