Saudi Arabia launched strikes against Iran. But here’s a very interesting detail in the @FT report Bernard Haykel, a professor of Near Eastern studies at Princeton University, who speaks to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, said it appeared “this was done in a very deliberate and co-ordinated way, with the Iranians being informed by the Saudis and with the aim of reaching a modus vivendi”. ft.com/content/bbab4e… via @ft

🚨 BREAKING:
🇱🇧🇮🇷 Lebanon has filed a formal complaint against Iran at the UN Security Council, the first time it has taken such a step.
- The complaint accuses Tehran of violating the Vienna Convention, interfering in Lebanese sovereign decision-making, and involving the IRGC in unlawful actions that caused widespread destruction
- Lebanon also challenges Iran's narrative around the killing of Iranian diplomats in Beirut, saying some of the deceased were not officially registered as diplomats
- The complaint alleges Iran failed to comply with Lebanese decisions regarding its ambassador and continued meddling in internal affairs
