@ElectricityNW we have power cuts in Poulton Le Fylde, has been off since 2pm and despite our best efforts, we have had no answers or updates. Can you provide any information?

Shocking decision from @AQAEnglish today. Not only has the decision come later than promised, it also disadvantages students/schools who have not yet taught poetry as they were focusing on the other texts. Will be carefully considering whether to mark for them again.

Tell me an underrated movie. I want one that you think is excellent, but that most people haven't seen. I'll start: UNSTOPPABLE (2010), in which Denzel and Chris Pine have to stop a runaway train. SOURCE CODE (2011) because I *love* time loop movies. Your turn!

Wonderful news for Northern Irish students- here's hoping English students receive the same. 3 days to go
Peter Weir@LordWeirDUP

After consulting @CCEA_info & having listened to the concerns of principals, teachers, parents & young people, I have decided that all GCSE students on Thursday will now receive the grades submitted by their school.

It's the Conservative education dream: Everyone gets grades in line with what type of school they go to. We'll be lucky if they ever bring back exams.

@PeterSweden7 As did the black Britsh taxpayers. How would you advise them to feel? The only people who shouldn't feel white 'guilt' are those who stand up and speak out against racism because they don't see colour. We should all be aware of white privilege- because it exists.

You didn't hear about this in school. In 1833 Britain used 40% of its budget to buy freedom for slaves. The debt wasn't paid off until 2015. British citizens living TODAY helped pay for abolishing the slave trade with their taxes. You should feel 0% white guilt.
