The reason Candace had to retype the email is because of a security feature embedded in the email called FontCode. FontCode works by weaving tiny, imperceptible perturbations into the font of a text. These perturbations serve as a kind of fingerprint on the email in the chance that it leaks, it’s easy to trace back to the source. This has nothing to do with simple redactions of email addresses.

No. They don’t have to spy on their employees lol. It’s like this- you, me, and another person are friends. I start to suspect that one of you has been repeating things I told you in confidence, because I keep hearing those things from other people, even though only you two knew them. So, I tell each of you a different lie about myself. Then, when one of those lies/stories gets out, I know exactly which one of you leaked it. The lie is like the email. They send different versions of the same email. So if one of them gets published, they know exactly who leaked it. Which is why Candace was smart enough not to post it.
