I think we need a real discussion about white people adopting/caring for non white children and torturing them especially if the child is Black. We just had a white teacher exposed for abusing a Black non verbal autistic child and now this. I’m heartbroken

🚨 Three generations of Long Island family charged in torture death of 7-year-old girl This case is absolutely horrific. Three generations of one family a 50-year-old woman, her 75-year-old mother, and her 24-year-old daughter have been charged in the abuse and torture death of a 7-year-old girl. Prosecutors say 7-year-old Jor’Dynn Duncan was subjected to systematic cruelty inside a Bayport, Long Island home. She suffered around 90 stab wounds over time, developed a massive untreated infection, and missed 40 days of school. She was eventually found in cardiac arrest and pronounced dead at the hospital. Emily Kelly, who had been given custody of the girl, is facing second-degree murder charges. Her mother and daughter are also charged with serious crimes related to the abuse. A child was allegedly tortured and killed inside a home by the very people who were supposed to be caring for her. Three generations all accused of being involved. This is one of the most disturbing cases I’ve seen in a while. A little girl lost her life after being failed by the system and the people entrusted with her care. Emily Kelly is being held on $5 million bail. The other two family members are also in custody.

Three women who died in the sea off Brighton beach have now been named as Jane Adetoro (36), Christina Walter (32), and Rebecca Walter (31).
All three were Black women.

Psalm 27 hits differently when you’ve lived through a season where hope felt hard to hold onto. David said, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” And what’s powerful is that he didn’t say that when life was easy. He said it while facing fear, uncertainty, and opposition from every direction. Still… he chose confidence. Not because everything looked good at the moment but because he trusted the God who was walking with him through it. I think many women need that reminder right now. Just because life feels heavy doesn’t mean God’s goodness skipped over you. Just because the answer hasn’t come yet doesn’t mean He isn’t working. And just because this season hurts doesn’t mean this is how your story ends. God’s goodness is still coming into your life. Into the places you’ve cried over. Into the prayers you’ve repeated a hundred times. Into the areas where you’ve almost given up hope. Your peace. Your healing. Your future. Your breakthrough. So keep trusting Him, even before you see the outcome. Because when God makes a promise, He never fails to fulfil it.
