I accidentally stress-tested AI customer support last week. I wasn’t trying to; I just needed to cancel a subscription. 2 AI bots. 1 FTC report. 3 days. Zero resolution. A thread on what happens when there are no more humans left to help. 🧵

There is no “CMO killer” rn or even long term. People can tell the difference between AI slop and human touch at this current stage. Also CMOs are a representative and face person for the company - no one wants to hear a clanker on a panel.

The Vanity Fair article was the most fun I've had reading about crypto since CoinTelegraph's Jay Pegs Auto Mart/Kia Sedona article

@francescoweb3 it's been so long since we've had a lurid tell-all article about crypto are we so back?

Most people give up and immediately dispute the charge. I’m going to have to. But it annoys the hell out of me that the cost of broken AI support is being quietly shifted to someone else. Who's paying for that? And for how long?

We've outsourced customer support to AI that can't actually resolve anything — it can only answer FAQs and loop... Which chat bots were already able to do pre-AI, btw. When it fails, there's no human backstop. There's just... nothing. And the hidden cost gets quietly transferred to your credit card company, your time, and your sanity.

If you are a crypto content creator, this is what you should actually be focused on. > Learn the fundamentals of marketing. Not crypto marketing. Marketing. Brand, positioning, audience psychology. > Learn how to build distribution. Organic growth, community building, and content flywheels. These are skills. Treat them like that. > Learn GTM. If a project comes to you, can you help them go to market? That is a completely different and far more valuable skill than just creating content. > Develop a point of view. Not just commentary on price action or narratives. An actual perspective on where things are going. > Create with AI, not just from AI. Use it to sharpen your content. Your voice and angle are still your edge. > Stop chasing narratives and newer projects. Every hop dilutes your positioning. > Do not make bounties your whole personality. It signals you are for hire, not for keeps. > Expand beyond crypto Twitter. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube. Learn how attention works outside the echo chamber. > Avoid unnecessary controversies. It feels like engagement. It is reputation debt. > Stop doing only vanity content. Follower counts, follow flexes, portfolio screenshots. None of that shows what you can actually do. Show your thinking. Show your work. > Learn to write. Clearly, sharply, with conviction. It is the most underrated skill in this space, even with the advances of AI. > Study creators outside crypto who have built real audiences. There is more to learn from them than from within the space. The best crypto creators of this year will not just be content people. They will be full-stack marketers who happen to be in crypto.

the definition of PMF that has always stuck with me is: is this a problem that [audience] is willing to PAY to solve ->NOW<- if the answer is anything except yes, start again

@katienotopoulos The amount that I've had to change my natural writing style to avoid being accused of AI drudgery is truly annoying

Typomaxxing is the new meta. You've got to be making grammatical errors, random extra spaces, at least 1 "teh" per email or else people will think you're an AI-using workslop slinger and ignore you
