@DaveBarlowPsych I found it helpful to prepare lots of questions in a notebook and carry it with me. If you get nervous and forget your questions you can just say “let me see if there’s anything else I wanted to ask” and flip through the book.

@KaylaHollett I agree that it often takes longer than 4 years. I used 4-years as this is what is considered 'normal residency' across our programs. In reality, the actual cost of graduate school is greater than I quoted, especially with the rise in the cost of living in the past 24 months.

With deep sadness, I concur. It is indeed awful to be unable to help loved ones with #Mentalhealth problems. I am an academic clinical psychologist and, tragically, my 22-year-old son with chronic, severe #mentalillness died by suicide last week.
