Some people will ignore all the good you’ve done for them just because of one moment you failed to meet their expectations.

They'll clap for you as long as you stay beneath them, but the second you start to surpass them, the hating begins.

Protect your peace. Walk away from anything that drains your energy, disrespect you or keeps you from growing. You don’t owe anyone an explanation. Your well-being comes first.

There are parts of my life I don't talk about because I learned the hard way that not everyone listens with good intentions. Some people listen so they can judge. Some listen so they can repeat it. So now I keep a lot of things to myself and carry them quietly.

Take your time getting to know people. Don't be so excited to connect. People have so much hidden intentions, hidden relationships, hidden personalities. They will do everything to impress you before showing themselves.

I realized people only like you when you’re easy to benefit from. When you say yes, stay quiet, and let things slide, they love you. But once you start saying no, setting boundaries, and standing on what’s right for you, everything changes. Suddenly you got an attitude. Suddenly you’re the problem. Truth is, they never respected you, they just liked your silence. I’m not being difficult, I’m being real. If me protecting my peace offends you, that’s your issue, not mine.

Best advice I can give anybody right now is to make sure you got your own and always do what's best for you. This is a cold world we living in. Families ain't family no more and friends ain't friends. So get your own and pray you never get in the position to where you have to depend on nobody.

What gives me peace is knowing that the people who speak badly of me were never, and are not, the best example of anything.

the worst thing you can do as a woman is settle. No romance, no flowers, no dates, no quality time. Just there. That’s a sad place to be! You have to want more for yourself because it’s out there.

At some point,you will have to disappoint others to live a life that's honest to you. People pleasing will drain you,not save you. You have every right to set boundaries and choose your peace. You can disappoint people and still be a good person.

As I get older Im realizing,I don’t like raising my voice,I hate arguing in any way phone text or in person,Im not proving myself 2anyone,Ion have time 4drama,fake energy&small minded ppl..all of that ish is so Burnt out🤦🏾‍♀️All I want is peace🧘🏾‍♀️&keeping my mental intact..that’s it

Nobody talks about how draining it is to constantly consider everybody else when nobody's doing the same for you.

Had to stop tripping about everything because a mf gon do what they wanna do regardless of how I feel about it.

People will believe negative things about you with no proof, but need proof for anything positive. That's why I don't give af what nobody thinks about me and my life.

My newest prayer is simple: “Lord, settle it.” Settle my mind. Settle my heart. Settle my spirit. Teach me to walk in peace instead of anxiety, and faith instead of fear. 🤍

The fact that we can wake up and begin again every morning is one of the greatest signs of God’s mercy. After every mistake, every heartbreak, every silent battle… He still gives us another day, another breath, another chance. 🤍
