@patiszejuicebox my theory is that people are so unaware of what mixing does, that they simply fear those sloppy multiple layers they hear after recording, not knowing that in the right hand, they can be a great asset, no matter how "messy" they are

@Kazutaite_ @FroggieSinger *puts on tin foil hat* I think it's largely because there's a general preconception that softer vocals = not real singing. We are pilled to only use chest or very powerful mixed voicing. It took me a very long while to get that mindset out of my own head.

some recording reminder for anyone that struggles with harmonies or vocal arrangements in general, you can add a lot of depth to the mix by simply recording a lot of doubles of your already existing mains and on top of that, make them different, few soft takes, few powerful takes, that already changes the feeling of the song if you can't add any harmonies or different octaves, trust me!!

Last year, I got an incredibly unique opportunity to record for the original audio track of the latest game from Big Cheese Studio, "Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together." It's a cooking simulator, as the name suggests lol, and I provided the voices for several customers and the chef you can play as. The game was created by a Polish developer, which made the collaboration even more special and not just because I had to speak in a made-up language ahahah This is my first project where I didn't record a dub, but rather the only available and original audio track, so it's even more exciting and big for me.
