That's the state of football in India.. we're 140+ranked in FIFA don't qualify for major tournaments... In Cricket we are mostly in top 3 so there lies the difference in treatment of players... Imagine a cricketer of Argentina getting same respect as Messi... That's the obvious difference

Just an opinion.. btw Sunil wouldnt qualify for most of the B, C Teams of leagues where A teams run after Messi. I think Messi's coming was a great occasion for all football enthusiasts of India.. I don't think Sunil wouldnt have any qualms about wearing Jersey with his picture..

Look at Indian legend Sunil Chhetri’s jersey He was made to wear a jersey with Messi’s picture and a text that says Maha for Maharashtra and Deva for Devendra Fadnavis. A man who gave his whole youth to Indian football was used as an advertising board. Disgraceful.
