When Tier 1 is weak, lots of students look like they need intervention. When Tier 2 is weak, lots of students look like they need Tier 3 or special education. Strong investments in Tier 1 & Tier 2 is a critical starting place for prevention. Access gaps = outcome gaps.

The vast majority of parents remain satisfied with their child's school, and that has remained true throughout the pandemic. I like to think of this as the parent–pundit gap, and it's a long-standing phenomenon. nytimes.com/2022/11/07/ups…
