@scriptwren When my two were young it all seemed to be about the competitive mums showing off the costumes on Facebook, half of which were nothing to do with books.

I have to dress up for bloody world book day. Hate, hate, hate. Does nothing to promote literature. Time consuming and costly.

@KentHighways A diversion would have been nice too - only thing I could think of was to drive back towards Sevenoaks and try to get on the A21, but there were closed sliproads that way too.

@KentHighways It would have been nice if you'd informed Google Maps who tried to send me down this way earlier, or put any signs anywhere ahead of this to warn people. I came off the M26 earlier, tried to turn down Seven Mile Lane and had to go back where I came.

Update Arthur's Fractures: I am home being cared for by Mr Fq and two friends from Bathurst. I'm getting more attention than I did in hospital, and they regularly celebrate my slow improvement with alcohol.

Same goes for working in games. So many years of being met with.. "Need X years experience." "Must have shipped X titles." Even with a lifetime of playing, and making video games in some capacity or other. We need more people being given their chance to shine if anything. 🫡
