Today we celebrate K9 Veterans Day, honouring the RCMP Police Service Dogs who work with dedicated handlers and protect Alberta with incredible skill, courage, and loyalty. To every PSD team serving today, and every K9 who came before you, thank you for your service.

We remember Cst. Christine Elizabeth Diotte, who was struck and killed by a vehicle while at the scene of single motor vehicle accident near Banff, Alberta, on March 12, 2002. #RCMPNeverForget

We remember Sub. Cst. John Nash, who was killed while on duty near Fort MacLeod, Alberta on March 11, 1876. Sub. Cst. Nash was one of the original North-West Mounted Police Members and the first Member to have died in the line of duty and to be listed on the RCMP Honour Roll.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible women who serve in the RCMP across Alberta. These women lead major files, support victims, and strengthen communities across our province. Their work saves lives, builds trust, and reflects the best of public service.
