When Bristol closed, its owners promised greyhound fans a new track. It later transferred operations to Swindon. That track races for the final time today. ...in between its owner/promoter also closed Reading, Poole and Milton Keynes.

For those who haven’t seen the draft version of the new Rugby Local Plan, item 9 is of significant interest. Clearly we want to turn the vision into a reality, and work is taking place on that. We really hope you’ll see & hear evidence early in 2026. Merry Christmas to all!

A powerful message from our friends at @WolvesSpeedway and one that we echo 100 per cent. Despite others having their own aspirations for the venues, whatever they say and do can’t alter the truth that there is still a big demand for the sport. Nine years on, we fight on.

Nine years ago yesterday, Freddie Lindgren won the Elite League Riders Championship. It was the last speedway meeting staged at Brandon. Every day since, we’ve been fighting the closure. We have a consortium of 5 very credible businessmen fighting with us to bring Brandon back.

@jimrobbins @SNSactiongroup @SwindonCouncil Very frustrating but not surprising. He showed his true colours at the Coventry public inquiry. Despite claiming to be a “petrolhead.” Hope the planning committee do the right thing here.

@SNSactiongroup @SwindonCouncil Very frustrating. We had asked Clark Osborne to not submit them until the application at Studley Grange has been determined, but he decided not to wait. It is for the planning committee to carry out their assessment, but hard to see a justification for the loss of an amenity.
