Funny how some finfluencers told people to buy $PYPL at $87 because it was “underpriced.” Then they said buy again at $72. Then again at $63. The stock bottomed at $38. Now that it is back at $57, they are posting “I told you so.” I made ONE call. At $42. Because that was the price that actually made sense to me. Their model needs a buy call every week. Mine needs a price that makes sense. Wait for your price. There is no rush. There never was.

Ich habe heute versucht, die Chatkontrolle zu stoppen. Am Wochenende mussten Sibylle Berg und ich Parlamentspräsidentin Metsola schriftlich mitteilen, dass das Durchprügeln der Chatkontrolle im Eilverfahren leider gegen die Geschäftsordnung des EU-Parlaments verstößt. Während Metsola der interessierten Presse daraufhin (fälschlicherweise) mitteilte, dass das schon alles seine Richtigkeit habe, warten wir immer noch auf ihre Antwort. Deshalb wollte ich es ihr heute bei der Eröffnungssitzung in Straßburg noch einmal erklären. Und musste erstaunt feststellen, dass die Präsidentin doch Regeln kennt: Exakt nach 60 Sekunden hat sie mir das Mikrophon abgestellt. (regelkonform, wird aber selten gemacht) Dabei hätte ich noch einiges zu sagen gehabt: "Frau Präsidentin, Sie wachen nach Artikel 22 über dieses Regelwerk (mit der ausgedruckten Geschäftsordnung wedelnd) - erklären Sie den Eilantrag für unzulässig. Wir sind hier schließlich nicht auf Malta! Die aktuelle Fassung der Geschäftsordnung überreiche ich Ihnen gerne persönlich. In der MEP-Bar." Wie es nun weitergeht? Morgen wird über das Eilverfahren abgestimmt, obwohl diese Abstimmung gar nicht stattfinden dürfte. Wenn der Antrag erfolgreich ist, kommt die Chatkontrolle Donnerstagmittag zur Abstimmung ins Plenum. Um sie noch zu stoppen, müssten 361 Abgeordnete - eine qualifizierte Mehrheit - DAGEGEN stimmen. Die schlechte Nachricht: Donnerstag ist der letzte Tag vor der Sommerpause und viele MEPs dürften bereits auf dem Weg in den Urlaub sein. Ein Schelm, wer Böses denkt bei dieser Terminierung... Every AI lab is racing to build smarter models. Mercor is one of the companies they rely on to do it. @mercor_ai's CEO posted this week that the platform now pays out over $4M a day to the experts training those models, at $100+ an hour. Its customers are the AI labs themselves. Reporting puts Mercor's run-rate at over $1B, up from near zero less than two years ago, and profitable while it scales. Three founders built it in under three years, backed by Benchmark, Felicis, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel and Jack Dorsey. Retail is about to learn the hard way that following the herd rarely ends well.

How is that strategy working out?

Base network was down a couple hours today. PulseChain was not. Security and reliability are great features PulseChain has that many networks do not.

The United States is broken. The checks and balances are no longer checking nor balanced. The executive branch has taken over the role of the legislative, mostly by unelected bureaucrats issuing ever more complex and encompassing rules, with no votes. The legislative doesn't write the laws, the lobbyists do. The judicial is crippled, and this particular part is the new and innovative part I have an idea for. In order for the judicial to help return the power to the people, to fix the myriad wrongs, it can't act on its own. Here's what it often takes for the Judicial to try and bring balance and protect the constitution from the other two branches. 1. An ideal plaintiff to bring a case. 2. An ideal case to be heard. 3. The court to accept the case. 4. A very expensive law firm to argue the case. 5. Money to pay said expensive firm. The legislative and executive need none of those things, which is why they've run rampant (particularly the executive.) So my idea. Funding, and a mechanism by which the judicial might try and restore some balance and some constitutionality to the republic, by acting on its own, without needing an ideal plaintiff, ideal case, and lots of funding for a law firm. One could also say judges are underpaid by the way. And these problems aren't unique to the United States. I'm pretty tired of posting about the relentless violations of our rights, mass surveillance, violations to the right to assembly, the freedom of press, unreasonable searches and seizures, cruel and unusual punishments... What did you think always making more rules and regulations and laws forever would result in? New rights never appear, the only get shrunk, the shrinkflation of your rights. More restrictions always, more freedoms never. It only leads one direction. There so much profit for so many private interests in destroying your freedoms, and so little private profits in actually respecting your god given freedom. TLDR: Checks and balances aren't checking and balancing. The judicial branch needs a boost and some kind of funding and ability to act without an ideal plaintiff and case and private law firm could be just the ticket. Heck, just the funding alone could do the trick, as you could fine more ideal cases and plaintiffs and pay those lawyer bills, without needing to do much else, but for authorize the funding. The same people that grant the cases a right to a trial could be the people that also authorize funding from a legislatively approved fund. Short of this, I don't really know how to solve much of governments problems, and their citizens being harmed by them, it seems like the legislative route is too captured by special interests to be affordable to try and fix things? Anyway, at least it's an idea that could work, that I haven't heard before.
