Congratulations to @La_DOTD, recipient of the 2026 Love the Boot Outstanding State Agency Award! 🎉 @LouisianaLtGov recognized DOTD for organizing 36 cleanup events that mobilized 768 volunteers to remove 73,727 lbs of litter from Louisiana roadways during #LoveTheBootWeek.

It's #PlasticFreeJuly! In KLB's Litter Study, it was reported that there are over 61.9 million plastic items on Louisiana roadways, and plastic water bottles were found at 80 percent of the sites surveyed. You can make a difference by switching to a reusable water bottle! 💦
