@KeepNorthwest

As Bearcats, we won't watch helplessly as others ignore social distancing and jeopardize our school year. We must advocate for people to make the right choice.

Bearcats, we want to stay on campus. However, if we can't buckle down on social distancing and masking protocols soon, then we will leave as quickly as we arrived. If you want to make your voice heard, then retweet as much as you can from this account. (1/2)

With Missouri averaging 4,692 cases per day in the last week, shutdown and stay at home type legislation is making its way back into cities. This late in the game, it’s redundant but wear your mask and maybe don’t crowd the bars
Lisa Rodriguez@larodrig

BREAKING: Bars and restaurants will have to close earlier, and gatherings will be limited to 10 people, under new rules announced today by @kcmo Mayor @QuintonLucasKC. Read more from @avivaokeson @kcur kcur.org/health/2020-11…

👇👇👇 Also check out the editorial in today's @TheDailyForum . Cases are spiking and hospitalizations are up in the region. This is NOT the time to pull back on mitigation strategies. Wear a mask, stay 6' apart, wash your hands, stay home if quarantined.

Our View: Cases of COVID-19 are spiking in and around Maryville. People seem to have gotten tired of following proper guidelines. Those people are making the pandemic worse for everyone, not just themselves. bit.ly/32C61Kl

I know how tempting it is to relax your mitigation efforts. However, as we are seeing with this spike in cases, we aren't in the clear yet. Bearcats, let's get back on track. Wear your mask. Practice social distancing. Maintain good hygiene. Let's make the change we want to see.

COVID-19 isn’t slowing down in Nodaway county. 42 positive cases in one day marks the third highest single day spike since Aug.30, when the county reported 46 in one day. The seven day average sits at 17.

After 26 new COVID-19 cases were reported yesterday, Nodaway County surpassed the 1,000 total case mark since the virus first arrived in April, as cases continue to spike again at Northwest and throughout the county. “We’re not out of the woods yet.” nwmissourinews.com/news/article_c…

In Nodaway County, 38 people have been hospitalized. Four of those hospitalizations are current. Additionally, 10 people have died. Does that answer your question? #Iprefertokeepmymaskonmyface

As expected, we're seeing a slight spike in cases again. Bearcats, it's not time to relax just yet. We must continue to be diligent in our masking and distancing. We've been doing great so far, so let's keep it up!
Andrew Wegley@andrewwegley

The Nodaway County Health Dept. reported 34 new COVID-19 cases in the county yesterday, the highest single-day total since Aug. 31. Still unclear how many of those new cases involve Northwest staff or students, though 18 of the 34 are between the ages of 10-29 years old.

The 7-day rolling average of new COVID cases in Nodaway County hit double digits again. And even as the threat the virus poses remains the same, the gravity of the pandemic seems to have worn off. “I thought it would be a little better now, but it’s not.” nwmissourinews.com/news/article_e…
