**New article:** Tracking an ongoing account takeover involving a DPRK IT worker in a known rugpull protocol (that's a handful). Summary: 1) A known rug-pull protocol (@wavesprotocol) has been compromised by a potential DPRK operative who took over a former developer's account and accesses to relevant Github orgs and npm packages. 2) The attacker has full access to the protocol's wallet application (still on the Chrome Web Store) and its dependencies. Probably partial access to wavesplatform GH account too. 3) After being untouched for over two years, the wallet's code is suddenly receiving updates exclusively from the operative and bots he triggered. 4) One of these updates is malicious, most likely designed to steal users funds by exfiltrating wallet logs. 5) Some of the Wave protocol's repositories are now redirecting to an organization controlled by the DPRK-related attacker. We didn't do the regular notification because Waves Protocol itself seems to be malicious. Just don't use it, don't integrate it, don't run their code.
