Augustin Resch is the real deal. He's solid. He definitely belongs in MLS, and not in Next Pro. And he's only going to get better playing alongside defenders like Erik Sviatchenko or Antonio Carlos. #HoldItDown

@RubioSoccer35 respectfully disagree, no need to kick anybody when they’re down. it’s a midweek match and they haven’t been home in a week. chin up and move on to the next one. if they feel ashamed after a goal and let in 2 more, i don’t want them to be ashamed after a loss like this.

Dynamo should really be ashamed with this performance. I know it’s midweek on short rest but it’s just excuses. I see a team that gave up early in the 2nd half. Also I keep seeing it but even during wins, there is a big disconnect with all our DPs. Doesn’t give me good vibes

@KeepingTabsPod Olsen needs to stop messing around. Playing Negri as a CB and Holmes Aliyu as wingbacks does not work.

Damn it dynamo… what a poor start to the second half. One thing is the unfortunate own goal to give up but that goal was so poor from the whole backline! Antonio Carlos and Sviatchenko are not a good combo.

@KeepingTabsPod He’s cost 2 goals tonight and more than that on the season. Playing him Makes no sense to me anymore. This group of defenders is just downright terrible. Resch and Artur are essential back there

Lingr should probably do better there… It’s not like Ponce would get that opportunity, but he’s gotta be more clinical.

@KeepingTabsPod Holmes and sviatchenko have been so bad this season, can say the same for negri and Bouzat. They need to be out of the rotation asap

Look, it’s a heavily rotated lineup. I won’t harp on a midweek matchup after the away win at LA. Just regroup and recuperate.

@RubioSoccer35 He’s just terrible going forward and reckless. There’s a massive gap between him and Diade. Bouzat is someone I don’t rate at all.

HT Thoughts: - Back 3 holding well, and Resch is one of my favorite players this season. So much confidence on the ball. - Front two is working really well to press and also stretch the backline. No goals yet, but it’s creating chances. It’s much better than that static front 3 that Ponce is part of. - Herrera showing his old age. - Ben has gotten it right tactically to begin the game. Can he close it out?

I’ve liked so much what I’ve seen from Lingr. He’s not the most talented player, but dynamic enough that he can influence the play from different positions on the field, middle, top, or wide. He needs to start.

Resch with a beautiful long diagonal to Aliyu who makes a beautiful touch. Ultimately, nothing led to it, but I want to highlight just how good Resch is. He’s breaking up every fire as that middle CB and distributing the ball forward at almost every opportunity. I’m so impressed

Dynamo employing the back 3 with this rotated squad. Resch is playing as the middle center back, and is operating as that ball playing CB. Also something to note is that dynamo appear to be playing with a front two at times. Interesting.
